Titled Tandger, painted in Burliuks recognizable style using bright colors and dense textures, depicts a genre scene with a man riding a donkey. Signed lower left. David Burliuk, 1882 to 1967, was a Russian avant garde artist and poet. He studied painting at the best European schools and was one of the leaders of the avant garde movement. Participated in Russian and international art associations Jack of Diamonds, Donkeys Tail, and Blue Rider. He published poetry collections together with Velimir Khlebnikov and Vladimir Mayakovsky. Organized exhibitions of Russian avant garde in Japan and became famous for his talent in the USA. His works are exhibited in many of the worlds largest museums. The painting is accompanied by an expert opinion from the Bureau of Scientific and Technical Expertise Artlab, which describes all the research methods and the conclusion on the authenticity of the work, signed by Andrianova and Biskulova.
