Philip Reisman was a Polish-born American painter and printmaker. He studied at the Art Students League and created a WPA mural at Bellevue Hospital. His work was exhibited at the Museum of the City of New York in 1979 to 1980, leading to Philip Reisman Day being proclaimed. He was elected an Academician at the National Academy of Design and featured in a book by Dr. Martin H. Bush. Reisman was a member of several art organizations and his work is held in major institutions like the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Hirshhorn Museum.
