An antique Japanese copper vase transformed into a lamp with polychrome ginbari cloisonne enamel decor. Late Meiji period, before 1912. Ovoid bottle shape with an elongated neck. Decorated with an iris flower motif. Comes with a carved wood stand. Provenance: Estate of Eric Jansson, Roswell, Georgia. Ginbari is a Japanese cloisonne technique when clear enamel is laid over a stippled silver layer applied to the copper sheet body. Collectible Oriental Asian Decor for Interior Design.
