An antique Chinese brass cloisonne enamel meiping vase. Provenance: Estate of Eric Jansson, Roswell, Georgia. The vase features wide, rounded shoulders and a small, narrow neck. The turquoise item features a large yellow medallion on both sides, decorated with traditional patterns and floral motifs. Marked with QianLong mark on the bottom. The type of Chinese vessel originally designed for storing wine during the Tang Dynasty, it became popular during the Song Dynasty for displaying plum blossom branches, from which it gets its name, Meiping, or Plum Vase.
