An antique Russian 16th century icon renovated in 20th century. Hand painted in egg tempera on a 16th-century gessoed wood panel with raised kovcheg borders. The icon was under an oklad, which was taken out in time of restoration. Two splints on the back (one is missing). The Angel with Golden Hair iconography, after one of the oldest Russian icons dating back to the 12th century, now in the collection of the Russian Museum, Saint Petersburg.
