The medal For the storming of Akhulgo was established in 1839 by decree of Nicholas I to reward participants in the storming of the fortress of Akhulgo, which took place from June 12 to August 22, 1839. It was a silver medal with a diameter of about 25 mm, minted at the St. Petersburg Mint.
