This stunning bowl is a beautiful example of traditional Chinese craftsmanship. The rich red glaze is vibrant and eye-catching, drawing the viewer in to admire the intricate details of the piece. Chinese Iron-Red Glazed Porcelain Bowl, Qianlong Mark (Later) A finely potted Chinese porcelain bowl of classical form, with gently flaring sides rising from a narrow foot to a slightly everted rim. The interior and exterior are covered in a rich iron-red glaze, evenly applied and displaying subtle tonal variation and fine speckling characteristic of high-fired monochrome wares. The glaze thins attractively at the rim and pools softly toward the base. The bowl is raised on a neatly finished foot rim, the base glazed white and inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character Qianlong reign mark, executed in regular script. The mark is apocryphal, and the bowl dates to the 20th century, produced in the style of Qing dynasty imperial monochrome porcelains, likely at Jingdezhen. A refined decorative and collector’s piece, reflecting the enduring influence of Qing imperial aesthetics on later Chinese porcelain production. Condition: Very good overall, with minor surface wear consistent with age; no cracks, chips, or repairs observed. This Chinese "sang de boeuf' (oxblood) monochrome glaze porcelain bowl displays an underglaze blue six character mark "Da Qing Qianlong nian zhi". The interior and the rim of foot are white. Measuring 16cm in diameter and 6cm in height, this bowl is a versatile size that can be used for a variety of purposes. It would make a stunning decorative piece in any home.
