Provenance: Based on the personal inscription, the book was gifted to Mrs Carl Schalet, (possibly Ada Schalet wife of Carl Vail Schalet whose father co-founded Texas Fuel company, what is now one as Texaco. And hence once belonged to one of of the founding members of American oil industry), in the memory of her Gardenias. Purchased form a rare collectibles book seller.
