Lot 0194: EGYPTIAN STYLE THREE PANEL ETCHED GLASS FLOOR SCREEN

Seller: 0F383 (13)

A contemporary three-panel floor screen is a notable example of modern Egyptian Revival decorative art. The piece is characterized by its heavy glass construction and detailed etched imagery that pays homage to ancient Egyptian motifs. The Central Panel features a classic landscape, depicting the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. Side Panels: Flanking the central scene are two iconic deities: Isis: Seated on a throne, typically representing magic, motherhood, and fertility. Anubis: The jackal-headed god associated with mummification and the afterlife, shown seated and holding a staff. The panels are framed by architectural columns and topped with stylized lotus flowers, which in ancient Egyptian symbolism represent rebirth and the sun. Produced by Glass Tech Industries, a company known for architectural and decorative glass processing. Such screens often use high-quality tempered glass for durability and safety. The imagery is achieved through acid etching, which creates a permanent frosted texture that allows light to pass through while providing privacy. The panels are joined by heavy-duty metal hinges, typically in a chrome or satin finish, allowing the screen to be free-standing in various configurations. Provenance: Glass Tech Industries. Comes with papers. Room Divider, Etched Glass, Art Deco, Giza, Anubis, Pharaoh, Interior Decor, Luxury Home, Custom Furniture, Mythological Art.
