This Art Deco open-face pocket watch was manufactured by the Gruen Watch Company. Designed in an octagonal 14K gold filled case, the timekeeper features a gilt dial with an embossed floral center, stylized Arabic numerals, a subsidiary seconds track at six o'clock, and blued steel hands. The dial is signed "GRUEN VERITHIN" beneath twelve o'clock. The reverse case back displays an intricate, hand-engraved script monogram, and the watch is paired with a matching bar-and-link chain fitted with a swivel clasp stamped "14K G.F." horology, timepiece, 1920s, vintage, antique, accessory, watchmaking, vest.
