A lot of three antique color lithographs published by Vanity Fair, including one of the most famous historical caricatures of the celebrated naturalist and father of evolutionary theory, Charles Darwin, dated September 30, 1871. Published as Men of the Day No. 33. Instead of his name, the print features his most famous scientific concept as the caption: Natural Selection. Matted. Accompanied with a biographical text page. A color lithograph dated December 17, 1870. Features a caricature of the preeminent Scottish surgeon, Sir William Fergusson, 1st Baronet. Published as Men of the Day No. 17. Features the commentary quote: There is no man of greater weight in his profession, highlighting his immense authority in the medical world. Bears a signature lower right. Framed. A color lithograph dated June 17, 1897. It features a famous depiction of Queen Victoria to mark her Diamond Jubilee, celebrating her 60 years on the throne. Titled A CIMIEZ. Drawn by the prominent French caricaturist and painter Jean Baptiste Guth, who signed the work as GUTH. Signed lower left. Matted.
