The back is marked 1847 Rogers Bros., AI. 1847 Rogers Bros is a trademark used starting in 1862, when Meriden Britannia Company purchased the hollowware division of Rogers Brothers Mfg. Co. and joined up with independent metalsmiths to form International Silver Co. The serving spoon has an elegant floral design and an M monogram on the handle.
