A color print reproduction after the painting titled Island in the Lake by Albert Bierstadt, German American, 1830 to 1902. Depicts a view from the Princess Louisa Inlet on the coast of British Columbia in western Canada. Signed lower right. Albert Bierstadt was a painter best known for his lavish, sweeping landscapes of the American West. In the summer of 1889, he was commissioned by the Canadian Pacific Railroad to paint the glorious mountain vistas along the railway line. Provenance: Private family collection, Opelousas, Louisiana.
